🔐 Built-in Crypto Wallet
The BlockStar Wallet is a full HD (Hierarchical Deterministic) cryptocurrency wallet — the same type of wallet used by the most trusted tools in the industry. It is baked directly into the browser, meaning it's always available the moment you need it, without any extra software.

🔒 Your Keys, Your Coins
Your private keys are encrypted using AES-256 and stored only on your local device. BlockStar's servers never see, store, or have access to your private keys or seed phrase. You are always in full control of your funds.
Auto-Lock & Security
The wallet automatically locks after 15 minutes of inactivity to protect your assets. It requires your password to unlock and sign any transaction. Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) via authenticator app is also available for an extra layer of protection on the wallet panel itself.
🌐 Web3 Integration
BlockStar injects a Web3 provider (window.ethereum) directly into every page, exactly like MetaMask. This means any dApp that works with MetaMask works automatically with BlockStar — with zero configuration.
WalletConnect Support
BlockStar supports WalletConnect v1, enabling you to link your browser wallet to mobile apps and external platforms by scanning a QR code. This bridges the gap between desktop Web3 and mobile experiences without leaving your browser.
Transaction Safety
Every transaction request from a dApp surfaces a full confirmation screen in BlockStar showing the recipient address, token type and amount, estimated gas fees, and the requesting dApp's name. You always know exactly what you're signing before you approve it.
